“Hit a bad shot? Take a mulligan and hit it again.” This golfer’s term for a “do-over” is the inspiration behind the name of the clubhouse at the China Lake Golf Course.
China Lake Golf Course Located on Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake, Calif., the China Lake Golf Course is a pinnacle for golfers in the High Desert. China Lake is in a beautiful valley setting, where year-round golfing is the norm. The challenging 18-hole layout incorporates many water and sand hazards, and includes a full-practice facility. The 18th hole is a challenging par-5 that longer hitters can reach in two. The tee box sets up with a view of the new clubhouse, while two bunkers and a lake on the right side guard the green.	The clubhouse has a full-service grill, with indoor and outdoor dining available. “Whether it is meeting your friends on a flex Friday for a round of golf, bringing the family in for lunch at the grill, or stopping in for coffee early enough to see a desert sunrise, we hope that you consider this clubhouse a retreat from the hassles of daily life,” NAWS China Lake Commanding Officer Capt. Mark Storch said at the grand opening in November 2004. “A second chance at the day maybe … and that’s why the name of this clubhouse is so fitting.” The clubhouse is available for catered functions, including retirement ceremonies and wedding receptions.

Make a left at Richmond. Turn right at Nimitz Ave. Turn left on Halsey St. The golf course is about a quarter-mile down on the right. There are blue signs throughout the base, leading you to the golf course.

China Lake Golf Course is an 18-hole, Par 72 course on 248 acres, with a driving range, chipping and putting greens, pull and electric carts with GPS, locker rooms, a grill, and a pro shop with rental clubs.
